Once a month, Children's Theatre of Charlotte and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library celebrate our partnership by offering a free Super Saturday for our community.
On Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., we're celebrating Children's Theatre of Charlotte's production of A Year with Frog and Toad with a day of seasonal fun and hands-on exploration!
Journey through the changing seasons with Creative Canvas Productions, who will transform our front walkway into a collaborative "Chalk the Walk/way" masterpiece inspired by Frog and Toad's adventures. Help create scenes of spring gardens, summer swimming, colorful autumn leaves, and snowy winter sledding as we celebrate the joys of each season together.
Our friends from Discovery Place will also be joining us with two exciting live animal experiences. From 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Animal Explorations invites families to travel across the planet to meet fascinating creatures and discover the amazing adaptations that help them thrive. Then at 1 p.m., don't miss Beyond the Backyard, where you'll journey through diverse ecosystems, meet live Animal Ambassadors, and explore preserved specimens while learning how animals use their unique physical and behavioral adaptations to survive around the world. Recommended for ages 5-12 years old.
Whether you're creating colorful chalk art, meeting incredible animals, or celebrating the timeless friendship of Frog and Toad, there's something for the whole family to enjoy.
