SCRC: Indie On Wheels - Men in the Arena

Join The Independent Picture House and Sugaw Creek Rec Center on September 8th for a free screening! Attendees will gather to watch the 2017 documentary, Men in the Arena, which captures the Somali story through the eyes of footballing friends bound by a shared dream to inspire their countrymen. What happens to them is nothing short of miraculous. All Indie On wheels events include a post-screening with local subject experts and/or filmmakers!

This complimentary screening is sponsored by Culture Blocks--a community partnership between Arts & Science Council (ASC), Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to bring arts and cultural experiences closer to where residents live. Going out into the community, the cinema removes the barrier of transportation so more people can enjoy independent and arthouse films. Pre-registration is required.
