Belmont’s Friday Night Live Concert Series

A group of civic-minded local business owners is to thank for the birth of the Friday Night Live concert series that soon became a staple of Belmont living. Who doesn’t enjoy spending a beautiful Carolina evening in the company of your friends and neighbors, listening to music and dancing the night away? When the Belmont Merchant’s Association disbanded and the beloved series was in danger of disappearing, the DBDA stepped up to take the reins. Over the years, the music may have evolved, but the joy and energy of those spring and summer nights have not.
Friday Night Live is turning up the fun in 2026 with themed concert nights all season long! Each show brings a new theme, so dress the part and join the crowd. We’ll crown a “best dressed” winner at every concert (with prizes), roll out limited-edition themed koozies, and keep the surprises coming all night. Go all-in or keep it simple; either way, it’s your Friday night, just with a little extra flair.
