Come to the Allegra Westbrooks Regional Library on Wednesday mornings before Storytime so your child can learn through play with available activities.
Young children are invited to come color, draw, do puzzles, enjoy some toys, or take in some fun reading time. During this time, parents and caregivers are given a calming space to be with their children, socialize with other parents/caregivers, and enjoy a free, warm cup of coffee as part of our Welcome Wednesdays program!
Unstructured play, often called free play, is when a child decides to play on their own or with other children. Play allows children to be active, calm their minds, pretend, and build physical, social, and intellectual skills. Unstructured play encourages children to be creative, develop social and emotional skills, and become great problem-solvers!
Registration is not required. Free Play time will begin at 10:15AM, and will end right before Preschool Storytime at 11AM.
