Catawba Indian Festival
Saturday, October 12 from 10 AM - 3 PM
Explore the culture and history of the Catawba Indians, one of the Carolina’s earliest indigenous peoples. Listen to traditional stories, feel the beat of a drum circle, step inside a Bark House, and try your hand at primitive skills. Join us and members of the Catawba Nation for singing, dancing, hands-on activities, crafts and more!
This project is made possible by funding from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event and are $3 in addition to general museum admission.
