Turtles of North Carolina at Discovery Place Nature

Come learn about the charismatic turtles of North Carolina. We will discuss unique turtle anatomy, turtle species seen in the Carolinas, and conservation efforts underway to protect these remarkable reptiles. Dr. Carolyn Collier is a small-animal veterinarian in Charlotte and a graduate of the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her veterinary career, she has worked with the Turtle Rescue Team at NC State, the Sea Turtle Hospital near Topsail Island, and the Sea Turtle Hospital at the South Carolina Aquarium.
