Bioluminescence of the Carolinas

Enjoy learning about life forms' natural lights including local life forms such as the well-known fireflies and the not-so-well known. We'll start with a brief presentation and a neat demonstration you won't want to miss. Then delight in a fun new flashlight game! You'll learn unique patterns of different species of fireflies and difficulties of finding the right partner. Weather & sighting permitting, we'll end with a night hike. No walk-ins accepted. Pre-registration required (for all participants, adult and child alike). Free admission but must register.
