SCNP Together in Nature Series: Life in the Water

- Location: Stevens Creek Nature Preserve and Center, Charlotte NC.

Preschoolers and their favorite adult discover nature together through crafts, games, songs, animal encounters and hands-on exploration. Each TiN class features a different theme, so try one or register for the entire season! Additional dates for this series are listed below with the different themes. The times are 10:00am to 10:45am and 11:00am to 11:45am.
July 16 - Life in the Water: Dip your toes in Stevens Creek and scoop up swimming insects, tadpoles, fish and salamanders
July 30 - Sssssnakes!: Meet our resident slithery, scaley, smooth, shiny snakes.
August 13 - Shake That Bushy Tail: Can you build a nest and find acorns as well as a squirrel?
August 27 - Outdoor Gym: Nurture your child's developing motor skills with unique outdoor play. (different activities from June program).
Notes: Pre-registration required 48 hours before start of program. Siblings welcome to tag along but only register children ages 2-5. All participants should dress to be outside.
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation follows all CDC guidelines and Governor’s orders. Participants are expected to wear a mask indoors at all times and outdoors only when participants are less than 6’ apart. At that time, we will ask everyone to wear a mask. If you cannot, you will be asked to stand more than 6’ away for everyone’s protection.
