Food Lion® Presents MLK Day 2022: Community Dreams

The Gantt Center is excited to welcome back the community to celebrate MLK Day with us, in person. In 2022, we will focus on our collective dreams. We will use this day to reflect on how we envision our future as a community, and how we can work together toward making those dreams come true. From 9 am to 5 pm, we will have a full day of programs – engaging art workshops, lively lectures and panels, in-depth film discussions, unique performances and more – to celebrate the impact of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will also recognize this day as one of service and will invite community volunteer groups to help package donated supplies, to be gifted to local organizations that provide resources to those in need.
Although registration is not required for attendance of any program during MLK Day, please register to be updated on the day's schedule of programs and to learn more about how to donate items ahead of our day of service.
Masks are required for all guests, regardless of vaccination status. Please keep in mind that our experiences during MLK Day are open to everyone until each program's capacity is reached. To ensure equal access, we welcome guests to the programs on a first-come, first-served basis.
