Storytelling Under the Stars (North Carolina Science Festival)

  • When: Saturday, April 13, 2019,  6:00 pm -  9:00 pm
  • Location: Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum State Historic Site 6136 Burlington Rd, Gibsonville, North Carolina 27249

Interested in learning more about the night sky? We are hosting our first ever Star Party, sponsored by the NC Science Festival.

Before the sun goes down, enjoy kid-friendly games and activities. After dark, listen to storytelling and observe the night sky through binoculars and telescopes. Learn about the important role that science played at this elite boarding school and enjoy the peacefulness of the 40 acre campus and State Historic Site.

We will feature storytelling from James Shields of Guilford College and the Gibsonville Public Library and will be joined by Tony Crider, Professor of Physics at Elon University and Don Smith, Associate Professor of Physics at Guilford College.
